The Blood of Christ

Did you know that, by the blood of Christ, The Anointed One, you have been set free? God has made a covenant with all those who fear, reverently worship and respect Him.That word "covenant" means a signed contract. God set up a contract from Him to all that would accept it and He signed and sealed it with blood of Christ. If you read the book Genesis chapter 15, you will see that God made a covenant, not a promise, a covenant with Abram/Abraham. That covenant stands to this day. God does not repent from His covenants or callings. Whatever He says, is.

Now, when the Law came to Moses, it was to show people that they were sinners. It was not to help you get into heaven. The Law only reminds us that we cannot attain holiness on our own. That doesn't mean that we now can go around in sin. On the contrary, we don't want to break God's Law because of what He has done for us. Because He set us free from sin and death and because He loves us and we love Him.

Sin came into the world through Adam. Just because Eve listened to the serpent, Adam didn't have to go along. Instead, he went right along with that act of disobedience. For generations, the people of Israel sacrificed according to the Law. The sacrifices didn't take away the sins. They reminded them that they had sinned and as an acknowledgment of their shortcomings.
Now, when Jesus went to the cross, He took on all sin, all sickness, all of the curses. He, who knew no sin, became sin, for us. On the cross, after He had been beaten and lashed, He said it is finished. He was not talking about His life here on earth. He was talking about His assignment. He finished the work that needed to be done in order for us to come into the right relationship with The Father. He wiped out all of our sins, all our sickness, and all of our shortcomings. We have now been washed in His blood. Hallelujah!!!

1COR 6:11 That is what some of you were! But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. You and I have been cleansed. There is no more guilt nor is there any condemnation. We can rest in that assurance. We have been sanctified, set apart for God's good purposes. We are now changed and are new creatures in Christ. We are not like the rest of the world. We have also been justified. Meaning, we have been acquitted. No evidence can be found to convict us of anything.

Read Hebrews 10 and Romans 8 this week. Study these verses and ask God to show you what He did through His blood, and who you are in Christ.
